The international trade fair for equestrian sports, Spoga Horse, is getting a new director. Starting June Ines Rathke will hand over her duties as director of the equestrian sport fair to Dr. Maria Näther.
Catja Caspary, the Executive Vice President of Koelnmesse, points out: “We would like to thank Ines Rathke most sincerely for her successful commitment to the Spoga Horse over the past years and wish her every success for the future. With Dr. Maria Näther, we have found a successor with industry expertise who is also very familiar with the needs of our customers.”
Not new at Koelnmesse
The new head of Spoga Horse has a doctorate in agricultural economics. Before joining Koelnmesse, Dr. Maria Näther already provided organizational and operational support for international equestrian events. She has been active at Koelnmesse since 2016 and, as VIP account manager and she has built up the TOP visitor management of the food and FoodTec trade fairs. Based on this experience, she will start in her new position as director. The focus of her work will be on effective match-making – being aware of the digitalized business and living environment.
